I am a photographer. I shoot art, portrait and street photography using both film and digital cameras. All of my digital work is printed professionally and I process and print all of my film content in a traditional dark room.

I'm drawn to photography because I love the idea of capturing an honest moment in time and sharing it. I often find inspiration in something imperfect or graphic that catches my eye. I love composition and light and am always drawn to photographic moments that can capture both of those things perfectly.

I discovered photography in college when I took a darkroom coarse for my journalism minor. I instantly fell in love with the medium and fled to Seattle to pursue my interest at the Art Institute of Seattle. The idea of clicking the shutter and capturing that moment in time, then taking the film through processing and printing myself is very satisfying. I love sharing my perspective with the world and I hope to continue to create art for all my life, teaching my kids the ways of the darkroom and promoting the medium of analog photography.

I find inspiration in other photographers, artists and musicians. W. Eugene Smith's work inspires and influences my work. Photojournalism and items from the 1950's and 1960's are other large influences. I hope that my work inspires others and provokes certain feelings within people that bring a part of them to life.
